Crafted Vancouver to cancel upcoming festival due to COVID-19
At this time the upcoming Crafted Vancouver festival, set to run May 1-25 will be cancelled. On March 16, B.C. Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry gave a directive to Canadians to not gather in groups of more than 50 persons due to COVID-19. On March 16, the government of Canada announced international travel restrictions due to take effect March 18.
Based on the current recommendations, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the upcoming festival.
During these unprecedented times we would like to acknowledge the hard work our Event Partners, Staff and Volunteers have contributed to the organization and planning of this year’s festival. These efforts have built a strong foundation to carry us into next year.
Please continue to buy or commission craft-based work. Now more than ever our artists need your strong support. You can find previous and current Event Partners and their contact information on the Event Partner page of the website.
Follow our social media sites and sign up to our newsletter to receive updates on our Event Partners from the arts and craft sectors, all making, exhibiting, supporting or selling exceptional craft-based work.
Crafted Vancouver will continue to be guided by information published by Vancouver Coastal Health, the BC Centre for Disease Control and the Public Health Agency of Canada.
Thank you for your continued support of Crafted Vancouver.
Please take good care everyone and our team will see you next year!
