About The Conversation Series
It is our great pleasure to present the 2021 Conversation Series to our festival audience.
This year, held via Zoom, the Conversation Series is a key component of Crafted Vancouver’s annual festival platform.
Through the Conversation Series we strive to foster public appreciation of outstanding craft-based work. We are committed to featuring diverse craft-based artists and designers working in multiple disciplines across the craft continuum, from ancestral, tribal and traditional to leading-edge contemporary.
By providing a festival platform for established and emerging craft-based artists & designers and the gallerists, curators, collectors and other cultural partners who support and represent their work, the Conversation Series contributes important discourse on craft’s enduring role in our society.
Maximising the benefits of a virtual platform, the Conversation Series offer a variety of experiences. Whilst ostensibly a cooperation between Canadian and UK partners, the craft artists, gallerists, curator and collectors contributing to the 2021 series are truly international, spanning a range of craft materials and specialisms with roots and references from across the globe.
About Craft Journeys
Craft Journeys is an evening event where three artists are each invited to share their unique career paths within the craft sector during an informal, interactive 90-minute talk. Tea and light refreshments served.
Please Note: Due to health and safety regulations, this programme is on hold for 2021 and will continue in 2022.
