Heather Ross, is a professional Photographer and Artist with a background in Painting, printmaking, ceramics and textile design.

Artist, photographer and stylist Heather Ross is known for her wonderful sense of colour, a keen eye and evocative imagery. Her elegant nature-inspired aesthetic is influenced by both her West Coast upbringing in Vancouver and years spent living in Paris, France. She’s a regular contributor as a photographer, stylist and writer to publications such as House & Home Magazine, for which she has been shortlisted 3 times for a national magazine award.

A creative force of nature, she has a fine art and design background in painting, printmaking, ceramics and textile design. Her evocative artworks have been placed in numerous collections. Her paintings, while abstracted, draw upon the elements of earth, water, air and sky, marking our connections to the seasons, the ephemeral qualities of time and place, and ultimately to our sense of belonging in the world. In 2001 she opened her own boutique and gallery in Vancouver perfectly situated between the art and antique area of South Granville and the Armoury Design District. She loves to use natural found objects in her charming displays and is drawn to simple organic forms and authentic materials. She hand picks all the treasures in her boutique and artfully curates vignettes throughout in her serene signature palette described as ‘where the sea meets the shore’.

Her much-awaited first book, the natural eclectic: a design aesthetic inspired by nature, launched on March 3rd, 2016. It has been featured in Martha Stewart Living, USA Today, House & Home & Chatelaine and is available through respected booksellers across North America and on Amazon.
