The Vancouver Lace Club is a society of lacemaking practitioners and enthusiasts.
Our purpose is to foster interest and growth of all kinds of lace making: bobbin
lace, tatting, crocheted lace, knitted lace, needle lace.
The Lace Club started in 1955 meeting at members’ homes until 1970 where they
changed their location to the Hastings Community Centre until March 2018. From
April, 2018 we have been meeting in New Westminster; details are on our website.
There will be pillows for hands on learning, a variety of different styles of lace on
display both in fibre as well as in wire. Yes, you can make lace out of wire.
Club members taking part in 2018 Crafted Vancouver as event partners include: Adele Shaak, Betty Ewing, Angela Kikuchi and Donna Leong.
For more information of the Club (where we meet, times, etc.) please see our website.
