Join Crafted Vancouver for our second edition of Crafted in the Valley, a fun-filled day trip on a guided bus tour to two studio settings and a winery. Stops include a visit to a pottery studio and the source of beeswax candle making, where you can stock up on your summer patio supplies. We end the day at a local winery that includes a wine tasting and refreshments from local artisanal food shops. At each location your host will give you a guided tour & talk where you can gain an appreciation for the dedication each brings to their craft.

Learn the basics on candle making and take a turn at dipping your own candles. Klaus and Betty von Hardenberg will host a 2 hour candle making and information session. Each person will be able to make two pairs of slim candles to take home. Cathy was awarded Designer of the Year in the 2016 Maker category by Western Living Magazine.
In conjunction with her production practice, she has had the opportunity to do some product design. Whispering Horse Winery
Chilliwack
Located in Yarrow, this family-owned boutique winery aims to showcase the unique terroir of the Fraser Valley through the production of high-quality wines made from 100% estate grown grapes. We will have the opportunity to taste just released 2018 vintages, which include L’Acadie, Pinot Gris (rosé), and Epicure single varietal wines. Winemaker Laurent Fadanni will provide the tour and guide the tasting. To note, the 2017 L’Acadie and Pinot Gris were their first two wines (released just last summer) and both won double gold (top in the category) at the All Canadian Wine Championships 2018.
