Members and a guest are invited to attend an intimate meet and greet Preview Evening at our flagship event Crafted Interiors | A Lifestyle Exhibition on Friday, April 30. Taking place at the beautiful The Pipeshop, 115 Victory Ship Way, North Vancouver, the evening will include food, music and an opportunity to meet Crafted Interiors Event Partners in attendance.

Please note: attendance numbers at this event will be based on the social distancing guidelines recommended at the time and attendance at the event may be subject to time intervals throughout the evening. Join us for Crafted Vancouver’s third edition of REEL Crafted, featuring an eclectic collection of short films by talented filmmakers from around the world, each exploring their unique view and understanding of craftsmanship and our crafted world. Selected films will be screened during the REEL Crafted Film Festival, taking place on the evening of Tuesday, May 18 at The Cinematheque, located at 1131 Howe Street, Vancouver.

The Craft Council of British Columbia is a charitable arts service organization which supports all stages of artistic practice in the craft sector; creates opportunities for artists to exhibit, sell and produce art; provides a voice for artists and craft organizations and aids in the development of active communities around craft.

Since 1973 they have been making craft more significant in the cultural life of British Columbians and Canadians. Through their public gallery and social enterprise shops on Granville Island, and at the Vancouver Airport Crafthouse, they exhibit and interpret contemporary objects in ceramic, glass, fiber, metal and wood that honor innovation in art, craft and design and celebrate materials and processes.

Each bag is sewn in Vancouver by The Window, a social enterprise art and craft showcase in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. Double-sided silkscreening performed by mixed media print studio Proper Design.

We are thrilled to introduce our inaugural member’s collector mug, designed and crafted for us by Cathy Terepocki. Collector members receive a beautiful mug from the Chilliwack River Clay collection with an option to purchase another to create a set (additional shipping fees may apply).

The clay for these mugs is dug by hand from the banks of the Chilliwack River near Terepocki’s home studio. Her intention with these pieces is to strengthen the connection between individuals and their natural environment by making useful object from raw, local material. The clay was formed over ten thousand years ago as the glaciers melted in the river valley. Long before the area was settled it was inhabited by the Tselxweyeqw Tribe of the Stolo Nation. A portion of sales from each piece goes to a cause that supports environmental sustainability relevant to this area or local community project.

Cathy Terepocki has made her career as a ceramic artist since graduating from Alberta College of Art and Design in 2004. Until she began researching local clay she was best known for her printed surfaces and her design work for Anthropologie. She has taught workshops and exhibited her work across Canada and beyond.

Collector Members enjoy a private guided tour of the Bocci studio, located in the Railtown District of Vancouver along with a “bonus” benefit presented at the end of the tour.

Bocci is a design and manufacturing company based in Vancouver and Berlin. Founded in 2005 under the creative directorship of Omer Arbel, Bocci is committed to fostering a lateral and open-ended relationship between creative direction and craft.

The company launched with one lighting design, ‘14’, which became an instant classic and remains a design staple and bestseller. Bocci’s growing portfolio of sculptural lighting is developed, engineered and fabricated in-house, through an infrastructure calibrated to provide full control over technique, quality and scale.
