Describe Your Artistic Practice

As a bespoke shoemaker I've been working under the name Westerly Handmade Shoes since 2012. Nearly every pair I make begins with measurements taken from the client's feet and then applying them to the shoe design of choice. I make every pair from start to finish in my east Vancouver open-concept atelier.

What Do You Do at Crafted Vancouver?

I'm a member of CAT and an Event Partner, and have enjoyed volunteering as well.

Favourite beverage:

Homebrew ginger kombucha

Favourite object:

Lots of favourites...one of which is an ornate brass belt buckle designed by my life-long friend, Justin 'Scrappers' Morrison, and made by his friend (whose name I sadly do not know).

Best Live Performance I've seen:

The Ship of Fools live circus performance enacted on a rusty old ship by Dutch performers, moored in the City of Cork.
