For organizational purposes, Crafted Vancouver follows the official list of artistic crafts (métiers d’art) established in 2015 by the Institut National Des Métier D’Art of France. The list comprises 281 activities (198 artistic crafts and 83 specialties) divided into 16 fields. Crafted Vancouver uses 23 fields.
Once you have chosen your Field(s) and Activity(ies) we have provided room for you to let us know how you wish to be referred to in Crafted Vancouver print and other media.

• If you would like to host an Independent Event (Standard Level) in addition to your participation in Crafted Interiors, your participation fee in Crafted Interiors allows you this option at no additional cost.
• If you would like to host an Independent Event (Premium Level) in addition to your participation in Crafted Interiors an additional fee of $125 will be applied (Crafted Interiors + Premium Partner $875).
• Your participation in an Independent Event (Standard or Premium Level) allows you to participate in Meet the Makers at no additional cost.

Each year Crafted Vancouver shines the spotlight on the fine craft and craftsmanship of a particular country with the goal of bearing witness to the daily lives of craftspeople around the world.
Encompassing craft, culture and culinary skills, we are currently inviting submissions to round out our programme highlighting the country of Mexico.

Observers are invited to pull up a chair and join up to 10 tables during each morning or afternoon session. Each table will host a master craft maker trading skills, knowledge and creative wisdom. Select tables may offer a chance to try handworking with a broad range of materials. Here is an opportunity for attendees to rendezvous and ask questions, learn, network and come away feeling inspired. This is an up-close, intimate experience with the opportunity to witness the skill and dedication that goes into each artisan’s unique work. Attendees are encouraged to visit several tables over the course of each session.
Event Partners are asked to make a first and second choice of preferred dates and must commit to a full day (9am - 4pm). A follow-up note with further event details will be sent upon confirmation.

Crafted Interiors is a 5-day indoor exhibition designed to inspire and promote the use of beautiful handcrafted work and furniture for every room in the home. Our canvas is the 9000-sq. foot space of the beautiful Pipeshop at the Shipyards District in North Vancouver. Designed to appeal to collectors, designers and emerging appreciators, our visitors and invited guests will be able to stroll through a series of room vignettes created by interior designer Suzanne Ward of Suzanne Ward Interiors. On view will be exceptional works of craftsmanship made with skill and expertise, highlighting local, national and international craftspeople and designers. Attendees will be able to purchase and arrange delivery of items through Crafted Vancouver staff or set up a studio appointment on-site to discuss custom specifications directly with our event partners.

Crafted in the City is a retail event taking place throughout Metro Vancouver at shops featuring exceptional craft-based work from local, national and international artisans. Engage with participants throughout the festival period by featuring live demonstrations, workshops, exhibitions, talks, special evening events and more.
This Signature Event gives retail locations an opportunity to participate over 25 days, when craft and craftsmanship take centre stage throughout the city. Your featured events offer another opportunity for participants to engage with the best craft-based work the city has to offer.

Become an Event Partner as festival participants join in this fun-filled day trip on a guided bus tour to three studio settings in the Fraser Valley. At each location hosts give a guided tour and talk where participants will gain an appreciation of the dedication each maker brings to their craft. Lunch and snacks are provided for our guests.

Calling all filmmakers!
Join us for the second edition of REEL Crafted, the only film festival dedicated to craft and craft-based work in North America. View an eclectic collection of films exploring craftsmanship and craft-based work as selected by REEL Crafted Director, Vancouver filmmaker Richard Olak of Richard Olak Media along with an expert panel.
How to apply:
REEL Crafted 2019 is produced by the Vancouver Craft Festival Society and Crafted Vancouver. To apply submit your films on FilmFreeway by 5pm, Friday February 1, 2019. Include a short description about yourself and your film.
Our intention is to inspire and engage filmmakers and audience members through the common goal of championing fine craft and craftsmanship. We are looking for films any genre: e.g. documentary, animation, experimental in short or full-length duration.
Selected films will be screened during the REEL Crafted Film Festival, taking place on the evenings of May 24th and 25th, 2019 at the Reliance Theatre on the new Emily Carr University of Art + Design campus.
Your submission fee for the REEL Crafted Film Festival includes:
We require your portrait and/or image of yourself creating work, and up to 5 images of your work for evaluation. We can accept professional quality images in either TIFF or JPG format, and at a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.
These images will be used on the website, guidebook, social media pages, and in press kits given to the media. If the images received are not of professional quality the application will be put on hold until professional quality images are received.

By submitting these images, you are authorizing Crafted Vancouver to use the image(s) for activities related to the festival, and the promotion thereof. Applicant is responsible for obtaining any and all releases and consents necessary to permit publishing of images.
You have not selected to participate in a Crafted Vancouver Signature Event, or host an Independent Event. Please return to the event stage of this form and select an event in order to apply to Crafted Vancouver.
You will not be able to submit this form until you select to participate in a Crafted Vancouver Signature Event, or host an Independent Event.
